The Ports 1961 Fall collection debuted on the runway last night at Bryant Park to a full audience, and celebs like Sophia Bush (a Fashion Week junkie), and Mandy Moore. Sophia looked absolutely stunning. Mandy always does, but Sophia out shined her. The Ports collection was had an Irish/Celtic influence with intricately woven and draped blouses and dresses and plenty of fur. The tweed looks were well tailored, the circle prints intrigued me, but my favorite item in the collection was a navy woven sweater worn by Jessica Stam over a plaid skirt. The hats were cool too, but it is already established I’m a sucker for hats. One thing that is never cool…FUR! That is one thing I hate about the fall shows…there is so MUCH of it. Okay, now you know my stance on fur, I’m done. A few details I loved on the Ports runway were the socks+mary janes, the long fingerless glove, the statement necklaces, and of course the occasional pop of color.
