Oscar presented a young, bold, & beautiful collection. The show opened with a short poppy print dress with pockets that i adored. The models had their hair coiffed into a bouffant dos, the ubquitous bubble hem dresses were abbundant here as well, and there were decidedly simple & wearable designs throughout such as a navy polo paired with a pencil skirt…these things i could have done without, but the bold color palette that dominated this collection was like a breathe of fresh air this fashion week. overall, i have to say bravo! bravo!

The unstoppable, and charming Roger Federer was present at the Oscar de la Renta presentation sitting next to Ms. Anna Wintour of Vogue. One of the models handed him a bouquet (to congratulate him on his US Open win over Andy Roddick the night before) during the presentation, sure it was highly unusual, but I think tennis fans like myself appreaciate Oscar’s gesture towards the tennis great!
