new york fashion week is incredibly fast paced, and everyone involved has jam packed days. juggling attending off site shows with the shows at bryant park can be difficult especially when nothing ever seems to run on time. too often we find ourselves fighting over cabs and shouting, “Bryant Park…step on it!” after an off-site show runs long. by day three of fashion week everyone is exhausted–there are certainly way more girls wearing flats than day one! there is seemingly always a last minute scramble to finesse the details. this can best be demonstrated when peeking backstage where madness & chaos is the method. On occasion if the runway tunes aren’t cranked up, the yelling backstage becomes the soundtrack. the pr guys and gals are working overtime checking lists, filling in seats, and very often figuring out what to do when a show is overbooked by 600 people (like zac posen currently is). it simply amazes me how the fashion week machine operates, and how we always get through it despite being on the brink of collapse. anyway, here are a few photos i have taken in and around the tents this season including, outside, the lobby, and inside the salon as guests begin to make their way to their seats before the show!
