Marc Jacobs put on quite the show at the Armory (and one that started ON TIME!) giving everyone something to be pleased about. The models walked down a runway with mirrored panels and doors to a soundtrack of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”. Marc Jacobs presented an elaborate and well-thought out collection. The looks were topped off with Mary Poppins-esque hats in either shimmering sequined or straw style.

There were obvious Asian influences in many of the looks, while others had a Home on the Prairie feel. Of course they were all presented in a modern way that only Marc could pull off with mixed textures and patterns using metallic fabrics and tied off with obi- belts. Whether it was a high-waisted pencil skirt, beautifully tailored suit, or bright in-your-face dress the models were accessorized to the max with not only hats, but over sized statement necklaces, tie belts, broaches, bangles, over sized sunglasses, handbags, sky high espadrille boots, and ankle-tie sandals.
