Last night I attended the Venexiana show in Bryant Park. The show was a lot of fun. The music consisting of hip-hop, dance, and rock tunes was blasted at high volume throughout the show. It was definitely a fun show to be in the room for. The collection had a little bit of everything and was suitable for a wide range of personality types. Blush, Creme, Chocolate, Blue, Black, and Gray made up the color pallete. Cap & puffed sleeves reigned supreme and velvet trim was seen throughout. The gowns were gorgeous, well constructed, and embellished with swaroski crystals. The coats & jackets were made of fur or shearling. Personally, I am not a fan of fur, but I couldn’t help but be in awe of Kati Sterns fur coats…they were quite beautiful. Generally, I was not a fan of the skirt & cropped tops that were sent down the runway. It was certainly diffrent than anything I’ve seen on the runway so far this fashion week, but the midriff baring sweaters forced me to recall the 90s a little too much. I also noticed some pulling in the seams of one of the skirts that was sent down the runway, I adored the majority of the evening & cocktail dresses and could think of several socialites & celebrities that would wear these looks.
