I started working on my christmas lists this weekend after stuffing myself with turkey & pumpkin pie. My first project was cutting the linoleum block to create my block prints. I still have more to print, but I began my shopping and a very fun candle project. I completed a ton of candles and am very pleased how they turned out. I even finished adorning them with holiday gift tags & ribbons so they are ready to ship out!! As far as my shopping list is concerned I only have a couple more people left on my list, but already know the perfect gift for each of them (etsy has been key in the gift buying process!)! I am so proud of myself that I have all of this out of the way. I even have my holiday travel plans in order! Could this be my first stress free holiday?

materials & getting started (it takes about 20 -30 cinnamon sticks per pillar candle (use unscented candles with a minimum diameter of 3 inches).

I made color photo copies on cardstock of a gift tag template from an old magazine (it was 2 years old!!!) and cut them out with an xacto knife & scissors. I then tied a wide sheer ribbon around the center of the candle, looped ribbon through the gift tag and attached the tag to the candle by tying a pretty bow with the red ribbon the back.

Here are the finished products with their various gift tags & ribbon combinations! They have filled my apartment with delicious cinnamon scents!!! If you are interested in purchasing one of these candles please visit the platinum blonde shop.
