In the 1930s if ladies painted their nails at all, they painted only the center of their nails, leaving both the tip and half moon bare. Recently we’ve seen a re-immergence of the reverse french or half moon manicure on the runway, in editorials, or on the likes of celebrities like the gorgeous Dita Von Teese.
