Gen Art hosted the “New Garde” event at the Waterfront on 12th Ave last night. The event featured 3 fashion presentations consisting of live-model vignettes from 3 emerging designers, Geren Ford, Form, and Chrishabana. I was in attendance sipping Chambull (a concoction of Redbull & Champagne) and munching on mini cupcakes & white chocolate covered strawberries.

Geren Ford was my favorite presentation of the night. The models were really into their performance and I wanted every single item in the collection to be placed in my closet. Especially the blue belted jackets. There were plenty of loose fitting sweaters belted at the waist, leggings, and knit hats.

Chrishabana is a line full of colorful prints, that I found to be quite beautiful. the dresses were layered over tights, and the pants were skinny & highwaisted. the collection was young & edgy, i could totally see lily allen wearing one of these ensembles.

Form featured futuristic dresses & jackets. to complete the look the models had architectural hairdos and dewey makeup. my favorite look was the plum short sleeved tulip skirted dress.
