i was amazed at how sophisticated club monaco’s fall lookbook was. I had the same feeling with French Connection’s fall collection (I especially love all the red in their collection). Black & Grays are big for fall, and in Manhattan they are always a must. I love the idea of adding splashes of color to an otherwise all black ensemble …..for instance a red belt would look fabulous with the pencil skirt (pictured below) instead of the wide black woven belt it is styled with. I also love the look a bit of bright yellow under a black sweater (as demonstrated on the DKNY fall 2006 show) But, then again, as my friend Ally emphatically proclaims, “All black is HOT!”

Tweed Mix Trumpet Pleated Slim Skirt $129Sleeveless Mock Neck Knit With Black Slit $55Wide Woven Belt $59Beaded Clutch; I love the open back of this top, i think it is perfect for a dinner date.; Tweed Mix 3/4 Sleeve Crop Jacket $189Mixed Metail Chain Necklace $79 i like the blazer styled with the mixed chain;

Sleeveless High Neck Slim Fit Dress With Back Slit Detail $179 Beaded Cluth; I think this dress maybe a little too slim fitting for work, but I could see myself wearing this for an after work event.

Slim Pencil Skirt With Kick Pleat Detail $99 Hook & Eye Front Closure Short Sleeve Shirt $79 Wide Woven Belt $59 Suede Grommet Clutch;

must haves: cord blazer $229; beaded clutch $79; pencil skirt with kick pleat detail $99; silver spindle candlesticks $19-$39; hook & eye shirt $79; mixed chain necklace $59; amy sacco cocktail book $18.95
