i stopped into the gap this weekend and bought 2 (two!!) of their spring dresses. i love them both. gap’s spring dresses are flattering, fun, versatile, and stylish. this is the first time in a long time that i’ve been enthusiastic over a gap purchase, so i can’t help but think they’ve finally done something right– at least where dress obsessed gals like me are concerned!

on saturday everyone was fighting for the dresses, and they had just placed them on the racks the night before! maybe it is because easter is coming up, but i saw this morning that one of my prized gap purchases, the empire big dot dress, is already sold out online (with the exception of larger sizes). the teen fashionista mentioned this particular dress last week, and noted its similarities to the calvin klein dresses of last season. the dress certainly is not a replica, but the styling of the dress is very similar to that of the ck dresses i loved so dearly but could not justify putting my rent money towards. i got myself a similar style for less than $80–score one for the “m” team!!! even if you can’t snag the empire dot dress in your size at your local gap, there are still plenty of cute dresses that you can purchase in time for those easter brunches you have coming up this weekend!

{l to r, top to bottom}: Big dot empire dress $69.50; Colorblock dress $59.50; Polka dot twisted strap dress $54.50 ; Breezy pintuck skirt $59.50; all @ the gap
