my second trip eVeR to this adorable village. i could buy eVeRyThInG in these boutiques!

my favorite shop in town- sayville general store:

old fashioned phones that the boy loves; tea for two; tea accessories galore and adorable @ that

cup & saucer; tea pots, bowls etc.; pet accessories/shampoo

delicious smelling soaps including the adorable pug shaped soap; frames & gorgeous brooches; luxurious jeweled picture frames; delicious smelling hand lotion/soaps & laundry accessories that you can’t leave the store without!

their jewelry case. this photo doesn’t do it justice, but everything is GORGEOUS. i love it! there is a bracelet with colored stones for $179 that i am drooling over…. (i just purchased a vintage locket last weekend @ 3 turtle doves for $185, so i can’t justify spending more money on jewelry for myself…my acquistions have been slightly out as of control of late!)

other stops:

  • Past & Present– the staff is soooo ridiculously nice here! by far the best service we received! I didn’t take any pictures here, but they have fabulous gifts here, cute children’s stuff including “Where The Wild Things Are” stuffed characters (get the stuffed animal+book here, or if you have the book buy one of the stuffed animals here (my favorite was the stuffed version of max!))! Also, the cutest “Where The Wild Things Are” birthday card (i found a similar card online here)!!!
  • Runaway Bay Books– a small book store that is well organized for easy browsing with a helpful staff. my boyfriend and i LoVe going to the bookstore…and it is a nice relief visiting shops that aren’t so corporate.

  • The Aegean Cafe– my boyfriend and i had lunch at this fantastic greek restaurant/cafe, i had the delicious salmon salad (they were a little heavy with the dressing, but it was delicious all the same, next time i’m in the area i might try them for dinner, their pasta & dessert looked scrumptious!!

  • Starbucks–i know i just made a comment about shops being “too corporate”, but forget i said that for a moment, and just know that a major upside to sayville, ny is that they have a Starbucks! yay! in my short trip i went there twice! is that bad?! it was a bit overloaded with teeny boppers, but it was a beautiful day, so i can’t fault them for stopping in for a frappuccino on a nice day! while i was in the shop, i picked up this this cute pink water bottle that i’ve been eyeing for months:

    The teacups look so lovely.
I love when you go shopping and post a recap. I selfishly wish you could go shopping every single day! LOL
    PS: Sophie is so adorable.

Ah, shopping… Wish I was out there now rather than stuck in the office! I love the way you’ve done the photos – it’s got a really nice feel to it.
