There is a Gap next door to my gym, so I frequently pop in after my workouts to check out the latest offerings. Last night I came away with an orange cardigan, a fantastic striped top that has a sheer inset at the shoulders, and a pretty cross-back tank. Exciting? No...but each item will get a lot of wear this season! They also have a fantastic selection of blazers and graphic skirts that are worth checking out next time you pass one by...

{Ten On Tuesday} Orange Crush

 It all started with me embracing the orange lipstick trend, then I slowly started infusing my wardrobe with the hue bit by bit. Now I am crushing on all things orange...accessories, beauty products, and of course clothing. Check out my tangerine wish list:
 
  1. French Enameled Locket $98 @ Beklina--one of these lockets in ANY hue would be fantastic.
  2. Keel's Simple Diary in Orange $11.25 @ Amazon--I like to jot quick notes, and don't trust myself to keep a regular journal, this is a fun & frequently insightful way to do just that
  3. Orange Lipstick-- M.A.C. lipstick in Morange $14.50--I am a big fan of M.A.C.'s Amplified lip colors, this one is a true orange, not for the faint of heart
  4. Sam Edelman Gigi Sandal in Spicy Orange $60 @ Zappos--I adore the contrasting neutral ankle strap
  5. Backline Dress $80 @ Zara
  6. Cropped silk blazer $155 @ J.Crew, this reminds me a bit of the Vanessa Bruno blazer I was obsessing over a few weeks ago
  7. ASOS 2 In 1 Dress $53.79--I love pairing orange with nude, cream, and white so this dress fits the bill
  8. Jeffrey Campbell Douma Wedge $159 @ Singer 22 - The entire spring/summer collection of Jeffrey Campbell is fierce, I love platform wedges in the summer I find them to be so comfortable and can always use the boost in height.
  9. Watch Strap $15 @ J.Crew- My fiance purchased a cheap field watch at an outdoor store a couple years ago and changes the nylon band frequently. Recently, I decided I wanted to bite his style, so I'm following suit. J.Crew has a nice selection of watch bands...I recommend scouring the internet, ebay, thrift stores, and watch repair shops for an affordable watch to modify.
  10. Kate Spade scout crossbody bag, small  $295 @ Neiman Marcus-- Kate Spade is going to be getting a lot of my money this season, there are simply too many fantastic things there, this bag being one of them.

Shopping on a budget can often times be a challenge, but when you can complete a look for less and still look like a million bucks the pay off is worth the effort. I've been anxious to pull out my favorite pair of white jeans and pair them with a tee & sandals in a bold hue. I fell in lust with this bag on one of my exploratory trips to Anthropologie. I found it to be the perfect size, color and shape for my everyday wear & tear. I'll have to save this ensemble for a warmer day, but I'll happily work the accessories in now.
