Chanel Saint Tropez

Saint Tropez proved to be the perfect scene for showing Chanel's Cruise Collection which was filled with beautiful unfussy clothes fit for every occasion imaginable with Saint Tropez being the perfect place to wear them. In fact Karl Lagerfeld seems to adore Saint Tropez so much so that the resort town is now the home to a new Chanel pop-up store seen below:

Watch this Postcard from St. Tropez from Garance Dore:

I especially loved Diane Kruger's Bocce style! She looked amazing. I swear I could improve my Bocce game tremendously if I had that $2800 Chanel Bocce set!

Clogs

Monday, June 28, 2010

Blame it on my Dutch heritage or the waves of nostalgia I get when I reminisce about the clog sandals I was limping around in circa 1996, but I can't help but to love the re-emergence of this trend. The Chanel clogs can also share a portion of the blame, as my lust for wooden soles has only intensified since the Spring 2010 shows:

D.I.Y. Zebra Nails

Saturday, June 26, 2010

I wanted to try something fun for my nails this weekend, so I dropped in to the drugstore for some fun purple polish. I opted for Wet 'n' Wild's Craze Polish in Barbados. This cost me $2.99 for a teeny tiny bottle, but the shade of purple was too perfect to pass up. After two to three coats of polish and drying time I took Color Club's Nail Art polish in black and attempted to make my zebra stripes for a little something extra! I was pleased with the results...

zebra nails purple & black

Not bad for a first timer. The nail art polish brush was the perfect size and shape for zebra style stripes!

It cost me about $6 and two hours give or take, so it was worth it! Give it a try! :)

Gap Faves

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

Before work I swung by the Gap due to the promise of 40% off sale items. I was greeted with a plethora of goodness. Namely a pair of always skinny white jeans for a mere $29.99! Here are a few other finds that might make your trip to the store or the site all the more worthwhile:

Madewell Favorites

My love for Madewell and J.Crew is as strong as ever. But ever since Madewell finally got around to setting up their e-commerce site, my lunch time shopping hour has never been easier. No more sprints downtown to pick up my favorite printed dresses, rolled denim shorts, and accessories galore. (If I buy one more scarf from Madewell my friends will seriously LOCK ME UP!)  I have a hard time resisting the constant goodness that streams from Madewell. Currently I have my eye the Lizzie Fortunato necklaces, Madewell clogs (yes, clogs), ruffled tanks, and Mara Hoffman swim. My bank account should be on high alert, there are too many pretty things that could get me into trouble:

M.A.C. To The Beach Haul, Swatches & FOTD

Tuesday, June 01, 2010

I'm late with posting these images of my M.A.C. To The Beach haul, but nevertheless here they are.  I have really enjoyed these items and am so glad to add them to my collection. I have been cutting back my spending due to my wedding(!!!), so this may be one of my last huge hauls until 2011 unless something really amazing comes along and I opt to buy makeup instead of food or shelter (hahaha, the collection would have to be beyond amazing!).

Check out the images of my limited edition purchases from M.A.C.'s To The Beach Collection:

The collection is packaged in green and orange plastic with seashell and starfish designs. The pencils are white with reef designs in the color of the pencil.
