Lately I've been trying to refocus and center myself starting with a new positive outlook. This mentality attracted me to this beautiful evil eye ring by Sydney Evan...this charm is supposed to help ward off evil looks. Looking good is just a bonus. Here are a few more beautiful things by Sydney Evan that have caught my non-evil eye:
{l to r} Diamond Evil Eye Ring in White Gold $465; Love Script Bracelet in Yellow Gold $615;

MAC Liberty of London Haul + Swatches
Tuesday, March 16, 2010

I waited a few days before deciding that I was going to pick up a few things for this collection, but when I did I noticed that the lipstick I wanted, Ever Hip, had already sold out online! Apparently, the early bird gets the lipstick. I had to head to the counter at Henri Bendel to get my picks and I am so glad I did! English Accents lipglass, Ever Hip lipstick, Birds & Berries e/s, and Bough Grey e/s are the newest additions to my collection and couldn't be more perfect for spring!
Isn't the packaging lovely?
Even the INSIDE of the boxes are gorgeous! :) This attention to detail puts a smile on my face!
Swatches:
Bough Grey & Ever Hip are my favorite products from the Liberty of London collection :)
Comparison swatches :
You can easily replicate the Birds & Berries shadow if you have the Hello Kitty "Too Dolly" palette apply stately black and then layer the aqua color of too dolly and you have the exact shade of birds & berries! The Deep Blue Green pigment of hello kitty would be a nice contrast to the birds & berries shade.
I was pleasantly surprised at how sheer Ever Hip goes on, it is more of a peach than a coral on my lips and looks fabulous with Mimmy lip gloss (from the Hello Kitty collection) layered over it. I swatched Ever Hip next to Mimmy as well as Cute-ster lipstick (also from the Hello Kitty collection) Mimmy is pretty close to the Ever Hip shade just in lipglass form while Cute-ster is more pink than coral.
I will post a swatch on the lips soon as those always prove to be more helpful. But I find any comparison is helpful when it comes to kit building decisions!

JetBlue Renews My Passion For Resort Wear
Thursday, March 11, 2010
I've been M.I.A. this week, and while I don't have a great excuse I do have a new reason to shop! Yesterday, JetBlue had a twitter promotion here in NYC for their 10th Anniversary where they were giving away free round-trip ticket vouchers to ANY of their sixty destinations. My fiance was alerted to the event after one of his co-workers collected the voucher at the first location which happened to be right outside his office. He headed to Hallmark to buy a card, and then exchanged the birthday card for the voucher (sweet, deal no?)! Not one to be left out, I stalked JetBlue's twitter page praying they would post a location near me. Finally, they posted a location that was a mere 5 blocks away with a request for a post card of their 10th city. After a quick Google search and a grab for a pen & paper I was off-- sprinting down sixth avenue! I turned in a paper with a beach and palm tree scene (it was not my best work) saying "Welcome To Palm Beach" in for my ticket voucher! What an awesome day! Now that we will be flying for free (save for some taxes & fees) to somewhere fabulous & warm I will need something equally fabulous to wear! I can't think of a better excuse to purchase this dress from Corey Lynn Calter's Resort 2010 collection, can you?
