3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2009 Collection

I am obsessed with the silk organza dresses in Phillip Lim's Spring 2009 collection that had exposed zippers shaped into ruffles that swirled around the bodice. The result was breathtaking! I can't stop thinking about them! Of course there were other gems in the collection too--like the fringe covered dress, black leather jacket, & the matador style jacket with gold trim. Overall, the looks were very feminine with even the most basic looking ensembles having interesting and beautifully executed details such as ruffles & beading. The looks are noteworthy but wearable which is the perfect ammunition when a designer is facing an unfriendly economy.
