Projects To Make You Smile

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Andrea, of Hula Seventy, after being inspired by Keri Smith's Guerilla Art Kit hit the streets of Portland with her Guerilla Art Army to place lovely handmade fortunes around the city...tucking them in coin dispensers, library books, parking meters, bicycle baskets, and cracks in the wall. The project brought a smile to my face, kindness is always fashionable after all! I imagine the reactions of those that found the fortunes were very similar to my own reaction after reading Andrea's post.

Here are a few (gorgeous) photos of Andrea's project:

DIY Mini Saddle Stitch Booklets:

Jessica of, How About Orange, created some wonderful mini saddle stitched booklets using scratch paper & her lovely graphic designs as well as images from domino magazine as covers. The booklets are small and handy for jotting down numbers, thoughts, and endless lists instead of digging for scraps of paper in your Stam bag. Jessica has posted a quick & easy tutorial right here, so check it out, and you'll never be caught out on the town without paper to write on!
