Grammy Award Fashion

Monday, February 12, 2007

the grammy awards are always full of low fashion moments. wearing something fugly is almost a prerequisite of getting an invite. there is always someone like imogen heap showing up in swap attire complete with a frog ( damn you myspace!). that much is expected. i am more interested in critiquing the fashion of people how are trying to look good. that is more fun, no?

Christina Aguilera was looking lovely in a pale pink sweetheart dress. She looked unlike anyone else, and I was pleased with her fresh makeup choice. Later on in the evening she changed into a short floral printed dress and applied her signature red lipstick.

jennifer hudson, was looking red hot in this gown. other people on the carpet chose floor length red gowns (ie shakira), but the soon-to-be awards show vet out did them all. i am not sure how i feel about the serpent in between her breasts, but for now i choose to ignore it.

carrie underwood & scarlett johansson were two of my favorites...great hair, makeup, dresses, shoes, and accessories.

The UBIQUITOUS:

everyone else showed up in short metallic numbers. while some did it better than others, some should have stuck with their original choice. beyonce changed later in the evening into some horrible looking gowns the worst being a long sleeved black sequined number.

why did hilary steal britney's hair?

don't you hate it when your bandmates bring your game down?:
the redhead wins for worst outfit...the competition was fierce though. i love kenny from the dancelife, so his girlfriend wins for the best look.
whoa aubrey's boobs...somebody is lying to you when they tell you this looks good.
nelly furtado & brooke hogan topped my worst dressed list:
i feel bad that nelly furtado came straight to the grammys after a burning car wreck!
brooke hogan shouldn't have drag queens do her makeup, and she shouldn't wear anything satin, ever again...especially lime green satin,
john mayer's japanese translation:

fugs n' jugs (thanks perez, best name ever!) are definitely together, i hate the hair on both of them! although, to her credit, her face doesn't look nearly as bad as it did on this week's us weekly cover.
