To All With Blonde Ambition-
My sincere thanks and appreciation to all who have expressed their condolences and thoughts to the passing of my four-legged best friend Murphy.
There is an undescribable sense of joy to come home to a friend who's unwavering and unbridled joy simply to hear the sound of your voice that only those of whom have every owned a dog can appreciate... much less understand
To have someone in your life who is completely void of your accomplishments, your failures or any other intangible measure of your worth and affection is a reward in itself and i feel comfort that i was awarded with a dog that bestowed this gift upon me for just shy of thirteen years.
today i lost the comfort of being greeted at my front door by the site of a dopey-faced dog who i have grown into adulthood with and will truly miss with all my heart.
thanks again for your comments

To All With Blonde Ambition-
please leave your thoughts & condolences for my boyfriend, tim, who lost his childhood dog, Murphy, today. he was an excellent dog who loved cheese, black & white soccer balls, grapes, & a good game of tug-of-war. he is pictured here with sophie, who considered him her best friend, and he considered her a pain in the arse--it was a great love story.

i find rachel weisz fascinating. she was captivating in the constant gardener, a captivating & moving film that you should all see if you haven't already. if you don't feel like taking my word on rachel weisz read the article that was in yesterday's new york times style pages:

i certainly hope so. i've been wanting to see this movie for a long time, but they keep pushing back the release date and i've been reluctant to get my hopes up. the word on the street is that the libertine will be hitting theaters on march 10th & i have now officially gotten my hopes up, so miramax, i mean weinstein company, or whomever, don't let me down! okay? okay! if it actually does come to town...count me in!
view the trailer for the libertine here!

- Past & Present- the staff is soooo ridiculously nice here! by far the best service we received! I didn't take any pictures here, but they have fabulous gifts here, cute children's stuff including "Where The Wild Things Are" stuffed characters (get the stuffed animal+book here, or if you have the book buy one of the stuffed animals here (my favorite was the stuffed version of max!))! Also, the cutest "Where The Wild Things Are" birthday card (i found a similar card online here)!!!
- Runaway Bay Books- a small book store that is well organized for easy browsing with a helpful staff. my boyfriend and i LoVe going to the bookstore...and it is a nice relief visiting shops that aren't so corporate.
- The Aegean Cafe- my boyfriend and i had lunch at this fantastic greek restaurant/cafe, i had the delicious salmon salad (they were a little heavy with the dressing, but it was delicious all the same, next time i'm in the area i might try them for dinner, their pasta & dessert looked scrumptious!!
35 Main St.
- Starbucks--i know i just made a comment about shops being "too corporate", but forget i said that for a moment, and just know that a major upside to sayville, ny is that they have a Starbucks! yay! in my short trip i went there twice! is that bad?! it was a bit overloaded with teeny boppers, but it was a beautiful day, so i can't fault them for stopping in for a frappuccino on a nice day! while i was in the shop, i picked up this this cute pink water bottle that i've been eyeing for months:
