jumping rope 9" x 12" pen & ink drawing
as a little girl i loved to jump rope...we used to have rhymes & tricks to show off during recess like this one:
Cinderella, dressed in yella
Went upstairs to kiss a fella
By mistake she kissed a snake
How many doctors did it take?
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8....
i could always jump the longest without breaks because i would "practice" whereever & whenever i could. i imagine this is what this girl is doing in this drawing! Pin It

THat's my favorite jumping rhyme! Nice pencil strokes to help with the jumpy feel of the piece.
I was more of a hoola hoop girl, but I like the sketch and remember that song.
