for self portrait challenge
i have been wearing glasses or contacts for the past 6 years. before that i only wore my glasses when driving and when no one was looking because they were the worst frames ever.
i was unlucky in that my brother and sister got the height and the flawless vision while i am stuck at 5'4 wearing glasses. i guess you just can't have it all. :)
i wear my contacts the majority of the time, but i have found that sometimes it is necessary for a blonde to wear specs. thankfully, gucci & chanel provide me with super cute frames.
strangely enough, i am considered to be lucky that my vision is equally bad in both eyes, because i have the same contact perscription for both eyes. if they were different i would have to remember which strength went into what eye, and always keep them separate. i guess having the same perscription in both eyes makes a vision impaired girl's life a lot easier!
in the age of lasik surgery my nearsightedness probably isn't the worst of my flaws. in the future i could choose to have it corrected (i'm not too sure about that though!!! the mere thought of eye surgery scares me infinitely!)
i should really focus my attention on being vertically challenged. there really isn't anything i can do about that. i can only work on my posture, enroll in every pilates class known to man, and simply try my hardest not to kill myself walking in those lanvin platforms! Pin It

I've been trying to get lasiks for 7 months now...I can't wear my contacts at ALL! it's awful! But my very cute armani frames have held up well and hopefully soon I will NEVER have to wear glasses again! I actually had to go to a black tie wedding in these...no words!
Ditto. I just got some gorgeous brown tortoise shell frames and I finally feel comfortable wearing glasses, although I still prefer contacts. I'm sure you look stunning in yours.
Great! I am so terrified of lasik too!! Eek. .but the thought of being able to see first thing in the morning. . .how nice that would be!
I highly recommended lasiks. I had my eyes done 2 years ago. It only takes 5 minutes, really fast and you could see clearly right away. The only discomfort, will probably be dry eyes and sensitive to light for a couple of days. Looking back, life was a blurred. Now, my world is so different:), I could see details from afar.
