as you have probably heard Procter & Gamble, the consumer goods company, has announced that they plan to close Rochas, the critically acclaimed fashion label, after its fall season. Rochas will continue to produce fragrances, but the fall ready-to-wear line will be it's last. Olivier Theyskens began designing for Rochas in 2003 when the brand was virtually unknown. In fact, at the time the line was not available in the U.S. With his hand the brand became one of the most desirable brands...not to mention a red carpet favorite. In the end the fashion house was simply not a good fit with Procter & Gamble as it was the company's only fashion related business.
